Sims 4 too many dishes

Hate to think how many dishes I cleaned up I those wasted 4 hours! I now clean up after each dish although the it pains me. It took me 4 hours and I'm not joking to clean up all the dishes and that was using the finger swipe tip and cancelling some actions mid way through. I decided to let thing pile up and in the end my game started going so so so slow, I had to do something to fix it.

To respond to the original post, I find that the more sims you have working on completing the cooking grid, the faster it gets completed. Once I get tired of playing, I get them to plant something to keep them inspired until I'm ready to play again. I even restart their hobbies once they reach 100%, because they rank up so quickly, and they each get 1 LP once they reach rank 6. Back and forth, back an forth, it generates a lot of LP, XP, and simoleons in a short amount of time. Once I get through with one group and get them to clean up then cook again, it's time to go to the second lot and collect, clean up and cook.
